Lead Tracking Software

The first three steps below are required for the lead tracking software post to work, the rest are optional. If you need to point your existing form to your own script or to a third party processor, Step 5 is also required.

Step 1- Change the Action of your lead tracking software form

Change the opening form tag of your form to this:

<form action="http://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/ u/USER_ID/form.asp" method="POST">

OR, if your order form is secure, use this:

<form action="https://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/ u/USER_ID/form.asp" method="POST">

In either tag, the variable USER_ID should be replaced by your My Affiliate Program™ User ID.

Step 2- Add Two hidden fields

There are two hidden form fields that you must add to the form. These fields will tell the form which email address the form contents should be sent to and the URL that users will be redirected to after they submit the form.

Here are the two hidden fields, with sample values:

Optionally, you can set a third hidden field named "M_SUBJECT" to the email subject line you would like to appear in the emails that get sent to the recipient:

If you want to pay a different commission rate on some products you sell, MyAP will allow you to override the default first and second tier commission an Affiliate would normally receive for a sale. To change the commission, set a hidden field named:

M_TIER_RATE

to the new commission amount and/or a hidden field named:

M_COM_RATE to the new second tier commission amount. Do not use a percentage or a currency symbol, just the amount; if you are a paying percentage commission rates, then:

M_COM_RATE=10

would indicate a 10% commission. If you were paying a flat fee commission, the same would indicate a $10 commission (this applies to tier commissions as well). Here is what the HTML looks like:

Step 3- Edit your Valid Domain setting

To be sure that only you are allowed to post to our script, the script will verify that the form resides on your domain. But first, you'll need to edit your Valid Domain Setting:

Go to your administration panel

Click on the "Change Program Settings" button

Add the domain that your form resides on to one of the "Valid Domain" fields. (Remember that if your form can be accessed through both http://yourdomain.com and http://www.yourdomain.com, then you will need to add both domains to the "Valid Domain" fields so that your form will post to our script in either case.)

Step 4- Post back to your script or a third party processor

If you would like MyAffiliateProgram to post a "pending commission" to your system when an affiliate has generated a sale, you simply need to include a form field named "M_AMOUNT" set to the dollar amount that you want to pay a commission on.

For instance, if the product that is being ordered costs $50.95, and you want to post a pending commission if an affiliate generated the sale, this is the code you would need to include in your order form:

<input type="Hidden" name="M_AMOUNT" value="50.95">

Note: The currency symbol should not be included.

You may also want to set the customer's "Name" field in the form in one of the following formats: "name", "last_name", or "lastname" (all lowercase). By adding these, you will know which order came from which customer when you view the list of pending commissions. The system will still post a pending commission without this information.

Step 5- Test the Form

Test the form by submitting it, and then check your email.

The entire contents of the form (except the special hidden fields you added) will be sent to the specified email address (M_RECIPIENT) and you will be redirected to the specified redirect URL (M_REDIRECT).

If you set the "M_AMOUNT" field and submitted the form after clicking on one of your Affiliate's banners, there will be a pending commission for you to approve when you log in to your administration area.

And, if you set the M_REPOST field, the specified redirect URL of your script should also execute and process the form.

Note: With the integration method listed above, KowaBunga! Technologies assumes that you will be checking your Affiliate-referred orders manually to ensure that they are valid and that the Affiliate is deserving of a commission. If your sales volume is relatively high, making it impossible for you to check each order's validity - please contact our technicians for more integration options.
